DESCRIPTION:Timothy Walker will be telling us about THE SUBTLE ART & EXACT SCIENCE OF PRUNING . He says that For many people pruning is as bewildering as potions were to the young Harry Potter but armed with the 10 principles in this talk you will never fear pruning again.  In addition to these principles he will look at the various classes of pruning with many examples of trees & shrubs commonly found in gardens. Timothy Walker has  a background in practical horticulture  as well as plant science. Timothy worked at \nUniversity of Oxford Botanic Garden & Harcourt Arboretum\, firstly as General Foreman\, and eventually as Director. He now lectures in Plant Sciences at Oxford University.
