Please\npark in car park 10 (which will be free to NGS visitors on the day). Sun 5 Sept\n(2-5). Adm £5\, chd free. “pre booking essential” with 30 tickets per hourly\narrival slot (2pm\, 3pm and 4pm). https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/30781\nTea and delicious cakes – made by Horatio’s Garden volunteers – will be\nserved in the Garden Room.\nAward winning hospital garden\, opened in Sept 2012 and designed by Cleve\nWest for patients with spinal cord injury at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal\nTreatment Centre. Built from donations given in memory of Horatio Chapple\nwho was a volunteer at the centre in his school holidays. Low limestone walls\,\nwhich represent the form of the spine\, divide densely planted herbaceous\nbeds. Everything in the garden designed to benefit patients during their long\nstays in hospital. Garden is run by Head Gardener and team of volunteers.\nSouth West Regional Winner\, The English Garden’s The Nation’s Favourite\nGardens 2019. A restaurant now occupies the old potting shed and conservatory\,\nwith terraces for tea on open days. Home-made teas.\nThe C15 Manor house comes into view as you descend along the drive and into\nthe Grade II landscaped Edwardian gardens. The extensive plantings that\nsurround the house are undergoing considerable redevelopment by the\nowners and their head gardener. A wide range of organic horticulture is practiced in 8 acres of relaxed yet playful gardens. Regretfully\, very little\nwheelchair access.
